have you got SP1 installed for W7. Some updates will not work without it.
Om windows 10 you can click on control panel and then click on troubleshoot. Then you can click on Windows updates. That helps on W10 but not sure if it is the same on W7.
Maybe try Services and scroll down to Windows Updates and make sure it is set to automatic and running.
If it is set to that just stop it from running and disable windows Updates. Reboot and go back to Windows updates in services and set it to automatic and start it running again. See if that helps with the updates.
Not sure if this is the one that you have already tried it says for W7 64 Bit.
Have you tried running Disk clean up and when that finishes another box should open saying file clean up. That gets rid of old updates and works fine on W10 not sure if it works on W7 or not but worth a try.
