Unable to install webcam

  pdon 23:52 18 Dec 2007

Trying to install a Technika VGA webcam on the laptop. Trying to install drivers from CD but installshield runs through a few steps minimizes to the toolbar and doesn't continue (it should pop back up again and ask me to click finish). I have to end the process in Task Manager.

I have tried the install on another machine and it runs perfectly. So obviously there is something on my machine stopping it from continuing. I have tried everything and nothing works. I just can't figure it out. Can anyone shed any light ? Help much appreciated.

Run Ccleaner click here and then try again. It might just be a glitch in the Registry.

If the webcam appears in device manager with a yellow exclaimation mark, put the cd in the drive, but cancel the autorun. Right click yellow exclaimation mark and reinstall or update drivers from there. That might get them installed, but not any software on the cd. You might try some 3rd party software instead.
