I think my LAPTOP has a boot sector virus, I am unable to boot into windows, unable to bbot into safe mode and unable to boot into a CD/DVD.

My laptop was running windows xp when it worked and I tried inserting a Windows 7 and a windows vista Bootable disk and it wouldnt boot from them, what do u suggest I do to fix this?

hello, sooty172.

if you can get into the bios setup, check to see if you can select cd/dvd as first priority during bootup.

Yeah I have done this I still get the same error as I would booting up into normal or safe mode. I somehow need to FDISK the hard drive so I can do a fresh install of my OS.

The problem is it won't boot onto a disk lol
