A problem that raises its head now and again when reinstalling PC's how do I get rid of one of the XP Home editions from the options at boot up and reduce the 30 second count down to 5 second. I replaced Home with Pro and have both options at boot up how do I delete Home option. Thanks again, Wossie.

You can change the countdown by right clicking my computer and clicking properites. Select the advanced tab and click the settings button in start up and recovery

If you *definitely* only have one copy of XP installed, open MSCONFIG ("Start > Run", type MSCONFIG and click OK), select the Boot.ini tab and click the button "Check All Boot Paths". If a path in the Boot.ini file is invalid, you will be asked if you want to delete it.
