Two Internet Explorers

Two iexplorer.exe show up on the Windows Task Manager under the Processess tab. One is only about 18,0000K and the other one is about 127,000K.

Yet if I end the process of one of them, they both end.

What is causing this and how can it be resolved?

Did you have more than one web page open. I think it will show 1 iexplorer.exe for each webpage open.

Everyone has two iexplore.exe showing in Taskmanager so not to worry.

Agree with buteman. In fact, if you have multiple tabs open, it will be more than two.

No, only one page and one tab.

As buteman and QuizMan have said -
Everyone has two iexplore.exe showing in Taskmanager
I just opened IE, with one page open, to check mine and there they both are. So then I opened an new tab so I had two pages open, and now I have three iexplore.exe showing in Processes.

Maybe if you are using IE6 or IE7 it may show as 1.
But after that it is 2.
So what version of I/E are you running.

i am using version 8.

Yes if you stop 1 it also stops the other.
As long as it does not show it using up the CPU just leave them.
Using windows 7 I have 1 at 6ooo and the other at 20000 but as they don't use the cpu unless you change pages they do no harm where they are.
And like you say you can't move them without doing any damage to the computer.
