  pj123 21:40 30 May 2003

I have aida32 but when I run it all I get is:

Motherboard Name: Unknown.

Not a lot of help. Any other ideas please.

It is a Pentium II 233mhz but I have reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled Win98SE and want to change the monitor setup to 800x600 16bit colours. all I have now is 480x680 16 colours.

any identification on the mobo between the pci slots?

  pj123 22:28 30 May 2003

It has 4 pci slots and 3 isa slots. the only number between the pci slots is N1996. there is a number between the isa slots MS6119 Ver1.2 BX2?

All the chips on the board appear to be Intel.

A search in Google for N1996 yielded nothing. but a search for MS6119 yielded a result which i am checking out now. Will post back with any results.

Then if you want to change the RES it's the graphics we are looking at. Is it onboard Graphics
Does aida32 say what you have got, is it a card or what

  pj123 23:14 30 May 2003

It is an AGP card. the only thing I can see on it is a label "product of mexico" It has a heat sink on it but when i tried to take it out it was so hot you could fry an egg on it.The other side says "3dfx interactive" Any help?

  pj123 23:17 30 May 2003

The Google link for MS6119 was to www but no mention of this MOBO. Probably too old now to keep up the support?

  woodchip 23:22 30 May 2003

You could try a 3DFX driver, they were fitted to the card that I have a Creative 3DBanshee but Voodoo also made them click here Can you see a number on the card any info

If you are trying to improve your display, I suggest you need to find the correct drivers for your graphics card. See click here for 3dfx drivers.

If you look carefully at the card, (you may need to remove it), you will almost certainly see more serial numbers, and perhaps even a descriptive name. If you can find a serial number, enter it into Google. The card must at least have an FCC ID number.
