hi could someone tell me what this file is i found on one of my harddrives

i did a google but it found nowt

there's loads in google if you just type "trojan bak"

Of course if you look under "trojan bak" then of course it will because it looks for instances of the words trojan and bak in the same page.

However searching under "trojan.bak" or "trojan bak" (with a space) doesn't produce anything.

dawnyworld - The thing is there isn't much to go on.

.bak files are usually backups files. ie Letter.bak would be a backup to Letter.doc.

Have you got Anti Virus and is it up to date??

Nowhere does that page mention a file called trojan.bak- you are scare-mongering.
