trojan spyware

I ran Counterspy and discovered something called LR Patch Trojan. I removed this and ran another scan with Counterspy, but it appeared the trojan was still there. I ran a third scan and this time copied the file name before hitting Remove. A fourth scan showed that the file has now been removed, i.e. Counterspy says no spyware detected. But on doing a file search myself I see that the file is in PREFETCH - should I now remove this from File Search manually, even though it doesn't show up on Counterspy scans?

The file in Prefetch is a marker made by Windows. It doesn't relate to the Trojan in any way other than it contains information that Windows uses to know how often the file is run.

You can safely delete the file or just leave it. It can in no way infect your system.
