My friends PC has what looks like a trojan. When he turns it on he gets to the desktop which has been replaced with a blue screen. There is an error message informing him of the trojan. Seconds after this Explorer stops responding and all functions on the desktop are unavailble. I have read alot about this trojan on the forums and then all sat how to remove it but only by running spyware or antivirus software. This would be fine if i could get control on the machine but all i can get is to c: prompt if i choose to boot up that way. Therefore i cant see a way of removing the trojan. Please HELP!!

Thanks for your time
