translating a foreign language

i viewed a site that was in a another language. it told me that if i wanted to see the site properly i should download a file or something.tried that but it then said that i should i would need my win cd disk to get a file on it to finish the task. As i have a recovery disk is this a problem.

Whilst not knowing the site or the language, it may be that it was asking you to install some different script, (e.g. Cyrillic or Chinese).

I have had this on the odd occasion.

Hi, I am pretty sure you will need a 'proper' cd rather than just the recovery disk. I have had a similar request in the past, so it is normal. Cheers.

Hi again .... I should have added - give it a try anyway with your recovery disk - won't do any harm. Cheers
