Transferring Files between PCs

I have both a Desktop(Base) and a Laptop(Acer) pc and use mainly the Laptop for backup. To backup I use 'My Network Places' and drag n drop from from Base Shared docs to Acer Shared Docs.
However although I can do this for some MS Money Files other ones come up with

" Cannot copy 'file name'. Access is denied.

Make sure the disc is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use."

The disc isn't full and the file not in use, any help would be appreciated.

try calling the file up and then 'save as' giving it a slightly different name and pointing it to your backup.

I can see all the base pc 'shared files' on the on the laptop but the ones that won't transfer I also can't open, the others I can.

When I try to open them it suggests they are read only or the disc drive is write protected. to the best of my knowledge all the MS Money Files are the same.

Interestingly the MS Money Backup file WILL open but the main file won't.
