Toshiba will not boot

Toshiba C660 wont boot.

It was warning me to change the battery but i think the problem is different this time. It was working fine and then switched off. Now i cant even turn it on.

The power led is on. If I push the power button it will start booting the ON-led goes on for a few seconds, so does the fan but in few seconds everything stops. I removed the memory, the harddisk, the keyboard and the battery and it does the same. Any idea how to continue?

Tomorrow i will get a vga cable to check whether its a screen issue. Lets say it is. What i suspect. Whats next?

Have you tried turning it on without the HDD?

Not looking good.

if your lucky its shutting down for CPU overheat and a strip down clean of heatsink and fan plus possibly a fresh layer of thermal paste might work.
