toshiba recovery wizard runs automatically

Shut off my laptop manually a couple of nights ago(toshiba satellite) but now it opens straight to toshiba recovery wizard. Press no or yes and run through the couple of options to save the hard drive or data it restarts and goes right back to the recovery wizard. If anyone can give me any advice on how to solve this and possibly save all my data I would greatly appreciate it.

what op system? sounds like corrupt boot files or hard drive.

you could remove and refit the drive to see if it was a loose connection or remove the drive and connect to another machine to extract all your data files

or boot from a live linux DVD and save all your data to usb before attempting a fix.

it's a toshiba satellite P755-S5261 if that helps. I'm not exactly tech savvy what so ever so how would i go about hooking it up to another computer to extract any data? Not sure i'd be able to save anything to a USB or external hard drive before I ran a live linux DVD(assume that's something to get at best buy?) I really do appreciate the help though.
