Toshiba Portege 7020ct - Any good?

  Border View 12:23 16 Nov 2004

I have been looking at a second hand Toshiba Portege 7020ct and wondered if anyone in the Forum has experience of this laptop. I know it comes with an external CD rom and Floppy. Does this mean I can only copy to the floppy? Will I be able to play "simple" games on it?

I mainly need it as a second machine for word processing, surfing the net and family history.

Would welcome any comments please.

It seems to be about a 5 years old model. Probably about the price you might expect. A replacement battery would cost about £60.

£499 new laptop:

CPU: AMD XP2600, 256MB DDR RAM, 40GB Hard Disk,DVD-ROM Drive/CD-ReWriter (Combo), 14" XGA TFT Screen click here

maybe someone can find cheaper one.

So 2nd hand is not really good value for money.
