TMPGEnc problem

any help when i have finished encoding a film from avi to mpeg and i play it back there is no sound any ideas please

If your film was in Divx then TMPGENC cant encode it , you have to use something like VDUB to extract the audio as a WAV first, you then set up TMPGENC to encode the video from the original file and the audio from the WAV file you have previously extracted. In my (very old) copy of TMPGEnc you have to designate your file as the source for BOTH the video and the audio. Could that be the source of your problem?

i downloaded it as avi i have had no probs before i have got vdub jft do you know where i can get a user guid or can you tell me how to do this
