Thunderbird opens IE7

  steve263000 14:39 04 May 2007

I use Thunderbird and when I open a link with it, it always opens in IE7. I would prefer it to use my favourite Firefox. Can someone put me right as to how? I have tried tools etc without luck.

Have you set Firefox as your default browser?

No I have not set Firefox as the default. I prefer to have the two of them. I just open FF and my son opens IE

I suspect then that IE has set itself as the default browser, steve263000, and that's why Thunderbird's links are opening in IE. You wont be able to change that unless you set FF as your default browser. If you want to do that, go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, click on "Set Programs Access and Defaults", then expand the 'Custom' section and choose FF as the default browser, in the "Choose a default web browser" section and click OK.

You have to have one as default browser, it loks like your son and changed it to be IE. you can revert this back to FF in the prefs
