Hi all,

Trying to help my Dad with a small PC problem. He has an Evesham Athlon PC with an ATI video card and soundblaster soundcard. His system has been crashing and returning the above message.

I have searched Microsoft and come up with (click here;en-us;293078)

Can anyone enlighten me?

I can provide further info if required

OS is XP, sorry thought i had included that too.

ATI card is 8500 Radeon family, we are downloading the most uptodate driver just now.

Came across a website that has a forum and info that it this problem seems to originate from a new bugfix code from windows XP.

has anyone else experienced it?

I've got a Matrox G450 video card with a ViewSonic PF790 monitor. Both DON'T interact with each other very well since Nov 2001 since I've had these.

Could be the trouble is because were developed before XP.

I've tried several bouts (fights with my computer, I had boxing gloves and everything) to update monitor or video card drivers, but to no avail.
