Firstly, if you haven`t done so already, I suggest you backup all data before you go any further.

If you identify the drive manufacturer and go to their site, there will be free tools for you to download to test the drive. Or let us know the manufacturer and we can point you in the right direction.

Make of the hdd(s) would be good to know, but you can install:

The last link requires you to enter the make and model of the hdd(s)

I had the same type of noise the other day something whizzing away.I put it down to my dvd drive and put a dvd in and it played ok with the whizzing noise still there.I rebooted sure enough it came back.So went into device manager and removed the DVD and RW drivers rebooted and the drivers updated with the same noise.rebooted again and the computer was back to normal. It may have been something different and the rebooting may have fixed it I am not sure but it is working Ok at moment.

Ok thanks will open case and take a look :)

I know some files are corpput because windows told me
I already have everything backed up on my pc so thats not a problem.
Hehe maybe they will see some sunshine if they can't use it for a few days :)

Thanks Adam

Main hd with Os is a western dig or somthing

Second is a seagate

Ive unplugged the second booted into windows and it seemed fine, So will test that one first
