Temporary Internet Files folder.

I have an 80 Gb hard drive, and would like to know if there is a performance benefit in adjusting the size of the "amount of disc space to use" on the Tools/Internet Options/Settings window.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 with 1.73 MHz Pentium processor and 1 Gb of SDRAM.

Many thanks

There is no performance benefit in adjusting the size as you suggest.

The best performance benefit is to regularly empty that folder (and lots of other crap as well) using click here

Probably not.

The disk is one of the slowest items in a system and does not usually impact much on system performance.

With an 80GB disk performance may start to drop off when you reach about 80% of capacity (64GB).

Disk performance can be improved if you regularly run Disk Cleanup and defrag the disk about once a month.
