Hi everyone.
Just need a bit of advice. When I do a anti virus scan I get the following message in the summary.

Some files in this archive could not be scanned because they are password protected. The real-time protection will automatically scan the files when you extract them from the archive

What I would like to know is are these files of any use or could they be deleted.
If I try to open them I get message that the programme that created them cannot be found.

I have Windows XP Media centre Edition.
The Anti Virus is V.Media P.C.Guard.
any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

As they are temp files, then they should not be of any value so can be deleted. Try running CCleaner to remove them and then run the AV check again.

Thanks for your reply Diodorus.
Deleted them and run AV scan. There seems no problems but I just wanted to check as I`m still a bit new to this.
Thanks once again Albertwok.
