Hi, In my front room I have a telephone extension that we don?t use. Could I put RJ45 sockets on the ends of the cable and use this to put a LAN in that room. The cable is embedded in the wall. Thanks, Dennis

D, make sure you disconnect the phone line from the circuit.

I've just done an Ethernet crossover, and you should go to this link for diagram.

This works with max of 2 PC.s , but maybe somebody know why it seems so slow. I have two NIC's but it seems slow

Hi, Now then, do I need this cross over type or the normal one. Any ideas would be a great help. Ta, Dennis

Cross over. The transmit of one PC must go to the receive of the other.
