Task Bar disappeared

  dugit 18:42 18 Sep 2008

On my wifes computer under her two email addresses the Task Bar has disappeared but for guest the Task Bar is working OK.
I have done the following:
1. Pressed CTRL + ESC nothing.
2. CTRL + ALT + DEL new task explorer.exe nothing.
3. Have pulled cursor below /side of screen still nothing.
Any suggestions please?

either in tools or view ,choose toolbars
try afew things there

Right click on Start.... choose: Properties.... then choose Taskbar tab... make sure keep taskbar on top is clicked, that autohide is unclicked....

Reverse these settings if the former doesn't work, then reset them. Windows sometimes gets lost in this respect.

System Restore is a bit drastic to try this early. It may well cause as many problems as it solves.

With no Task Bar there is no Start to click?
Have tried various things mentioned no success so far.
What I don't understand is why the Task Bar (Start etc) is OK for Guest?

I assume F11 has not been pressed,as full screen will make task bar disappear.
F11 will restore.
