Via e-mail:

Thanks for your help but as Iam not that computer literate I managed to follow the first set of instructions to find the missing files but they were not there so I went to extract the missing files but what do I type in the "file to restore" "restore from" & "Save file" boxes

Please reply using the Add a response button at the bottom of this page. The yellow envelope is for invited personal messages.

File to restore: jscript.dll or vbscript.dll

Restore from: actually you would be better clicking Browse at this point.

Save file: c:\windows\system32

You say click browse for the Restore From but what am I looking for

You are browsing to find the missing file.

The file will be in a .cab file stored in the I386 folder on the Windows XP CD.

That will be a problem because I got my system from Mesh and they did not supply the XP cd

I've mailed them to you. Save them to c:\windows\system32

Then do this

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll

and then click OK.

3. Click OK.

4. Click Start, and then click Run.

5. In the Open box, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll

and then click OK.

6. Click OK.
