system restore

Hello, my first post with a query, and I wonder if some kind soul can advise me.
Am running XP SP2.

I have System Restore monitoring on my C drive, and it has on occasions got me out of trouble.
My C drive has all my installed progs, My Docs etc etc.
I also have a slave drive (K) which is used only as a back up and archival store.

My question is, is there any reason to have system restore monitoring this K drive. If not can it be disabled for this drive and kept functioning on my C drive, or is it either on or off an a global basis.
If so, then would it be ok, to save a bit of space on the K drive, just to adjust on that drive the amount of room that SysRes takes up down to it's very minimum.

Newbie question, I know, but would appreciate any advice.

No problem if you choose not to have Syatem restore monitoring your Slave drive. Just untick it in settings and you don't need to alter how much space is taken up on K: it just won't be there. You will lose all restore points on K:
I hope that I have understood you correctly.

Thank you, rawprawn, had not noticed the option to disable on K.
Done now, and thank you for your advice.
