System restore

I'm using windows xp home and wish to use system restore. However every time I try I get the message " your computer cannot be restored.What am I doing wrong ?

Nothing most unlikely, unless SR is disabled.

A System Restore point is normally created when you make changes to your system, such as installing or uninstalling hardware or software.

If the reference point is the same as an earlier available SR point then no change will be made.

Your system restore function may be disabled,,gp to control panel\system\performance\file system\trouble shooting,and un check disable SR
