System File Checker Trouble

When I run the sfc scan it sometimes says that the disk in the drive is not responding or something like that could it be the disk is faulty or the drive? Using XP Pro btw

If you loaded SP2 it does say wrong isc just keep pressing OK untill it gets to the end

Copy the I386 folder to your hard drive click here

Woodchip - it has Sp2 with it, other than that Ile give it another go Vog

Ive just tried what the link suggested it still comes up with the same error, I copied the 1386 Folder too my C Drive and Changed the E:\ too C:\ Rebooted, Start ----- Run ----- Sfc /scannow had the box - "Windows File Protection" "Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL Cache" Insert your XP Professional CD-Rom Now

As above try Opening Windows Explorer and drag the file to Windows Folder.

PS there may be one already in there but right click the file\Properties and check size of both. The big one wants to be there
