System 32 folder appears

  Curacion66 21:27 02 May 2006

Whenever I start or restart my PC, once all the programs have loaded I get my system 32 folder appearing/opening. I just close it down each time as I obviously don't need it but can't find a way of stopping it appearing. The PC works fine in every way. I use XP Home SP2 & the most recent software loaded was Norton Ghost.

Does anyone have any ideas why & how to stop it.

I've had another good look in msconfig & found a startup item called NVCPL - rundll32.exe c:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll,nvstartup & have cleared this out before, however it always comes back. There are 3 entries now (all unticked bar one) I can't see a /L:ENG or anything similar at all in the startup.
Having unticked almost everything in here now I can't for the love of me see what's bringing up this window.
Thanks for all the help on this. It is very much appreciated. John
