Hi all

I ditched za firewall as i was getting numerous true vector errors,i now have sygate installed. About every half hour while on the net a message pops up "somebody is scanning your computer tcp ports 135,445,2745,1981 and 139 have been scanned from 213.122.99.105" severiry minor, direction incoming.

Can anyone shed any light?

Regards Phil

Turn off the alerts as they are a waste of space and time. The 'scans' will be your ISP servers and any of the other servers that send you pages. All they are doing is checking that your connection is still alive.

I predict that you are with BT as 213.122.99.105 is their server ;-))

You'll be getting 81.153.xxx as well. It's just BT doing the rounds checking if you're still alive.

There are more serious things to worry about. These messages just demonstrate that Sygate is doing its job.
