Swapping Hard Drive for faster one

Hi, I have an old HP Pavilion P6205 desktop and am thinking of changing the hard drive to a newer faster one of similar capacity. Is it possible and easy to copy everything from original onto new hard disk so that when I install it pc acts exactly the same but just a bit faster?

That's an old machine and not worth spending money on, you will not see any increase by fitting a faster HDD and its certainly not worth fitting a SSD.

To answer your question - you need cloning software to copy the original drive to another drive MAcrium Reflect Free would do the job.
