Is SVKP.SYS a virus?

My Norton anti virus detects svkp.sys as a virus but reports on the web suggest this could be a false alarm?

I have quarantined it but has anyone else had this?

Could it be this anticracking tool, SVK Protector, by these folks?: click here

Google this: 'SVK-Protector Decrypter' and you will see SVKP.SYS attached to that application.

A lot of stuff on the Net about this. Seems like Symantec with its latest definitions is showing this as a virus - when perhaps it is not.

I have quarantined mine just in case.

I also had this warning, so I sent the file to Symantec for checking and it was reported clean.
I have two other pc's in the house and neither of them has the svkp.sys file and they both run xp.I therefor deleted it altogether from my machine and so far it hasn't affected anything.
