Any ideas on the best method for surfing the web from the kids paddling pool, ohhh, and get some work done at the same time???

Paddle in a paddling pool, compute at a computer never that twain should meet.

Is this a serious request?

Looked at the tablet wireless thingy-me-jig. It could fit the bill, waterproof cases??

Much to nice a day to sit in study and work, possibly an extension cable to the garden and move the lot there, but like the sound of the wireless thing...

Any laptop with a WiFi card will do the job - but if you want waterproof, be prepared to pay a lot more.

Perhaps if you sat in the paddling pool, but didn't put any water in it....?

Whilst the current from a laptop will do you no harm.

What if the kids see what you are doing and take the CD player out to the pool!

They are unlikely to understand the difference in danger level between mains and battery power.
