Suggest a new component? Help appreciated

  k4n7 17:01 10 Dec 2007

Hi, I'm currently in the process of upgrading my system slightly, however, I am unsure as to exactly what component is bottlenecking my rig. It's not a high-end PC but I would just like some advice as to what component to upgrade.

My spec:

* Asus M2V Motherboard
* A64 2.4GHz 3800+ AM2 CPU
* 1GB DDR2 Generic RAM
* Sapphire ATi Radeon x1600 Pro 256mb

Any advice appreciated. Thanks a lot.

What is it slow in doing?

It's not really slow doing anything, it's mostly just so I could run games slightly faster etc.

Thanks for the reply.

Upgrading your graphics card will speed up your games and make them smoother. It's pretty slow by todays standard.

assuming its agp a 1950pro plus another 1g of ram as it is cheap.

Agree with citadel and in that order, better graphics card and more RAM.
