Such a thing as an External serial floppy drive?

Hi I have two old laptops and the Floppy Drives are not working so I can’t load the laptops or tests them.
Can anyone remember if there was such a thing as an External serial floppy drive?
Is there any other way round this I am not short of cables etc.
There are no USBs on the Laptops.

external usb floppy drives are obtainable, you can then buy a small adaptor that fits in ps2 port on the back of the laptop

Hi aine I have that adapter and I can get a a PS2 female to AT male cable and also the adapter to serial.
Problem is with that set up is there power to the drive?

Other that to but a new floppy drive for approx £5 I think you would struggle.

The reason I asked if three was a External serial floppy drive is that I have a 5 1/2 inch external drive with its own power buit again with 33pin.

The laptops FDD cables are 25pin not the 33 standard
so I cant put one in.
