struggling to get on the internet with my router

  pcgal 11:40 13 Aug 2005

I've purchased a wireless router so I can access the internet with my wireless lappy.
I access through NTL.
My lappy can see the router no problem so I'm browsing the router settings just fine.
The router is set to DHCP and my lappy is set to "receive an Ip address automatically"
If I use my ethernet port and hardwire the cable modem into my lappy then everythings fine and I can use the internet.
I just cant get through to the internet on my wireless connection.
can anyone give me some pointers? Do I need to enter such information as "DNS ADDRESS" or "CLONE MAC ADDRESS"......Thanks for any help !

... please? Did you go to the manufacturer's site and get the latest firmware? Even better, did you telephone their help & support line? You will be amazed how quickly they can (usually) resolve your problems getting online!
