Bought hubby new Laptop with Windows8,set it all up with his facebook, skype etc and let him loose,he decided he would browse the porn, doesn't know what he clicked on but got a page saying Interpol down both sides and the rest all in Spanish which I think says this site is prohibited by the guadiar Civil, but the page can't be removed, now after login when he trys to click on the internet or anything on windows the same page comes up automaticley, how can he get over this please.

This may help. I believe I've heard others recommend HitmanPro. If you Google for 'guardia civil virus' you'll find plenty about it on the web. You may want to try the System Restore option first.

It doesn't just come from porn sites - the hitman pro kickstart usb is the best and easiest way to get it unlocked.

What antivirus firewll antimalware do you have installed to help prevent infections in future.

Also think about a "backup regime" so you do not lose your data phots etc. if the machine gets infected or fails in any way.

Have Mcafee,pre-installed with the Laptop, and as for backing up I didn't get chance the laptop had just been unwrapped and installed, hubby thought he would have a browse, half an hour later this happened

OK nothing to loose then, as long as it doesn't need restore DVDs you may be able to reset to factory settings.

What make and model is the laptop?

McAfee isn't too good and you will have to pay for renewal when the trial runs out.

Uninstall it and use something like AVAST Free and malwarebytes

Of course your going to make hubby pay for all this trouble :0)
