Startup 'speeder-upper' :P

As from the title you can see that I've dropped English Language, but that's another story...

I tried to use Bootvis on this computer today, unfortunately, I'm getting a problem that a lot of other people online are getting (an error message after tracing saying that the number of physical drives is equal to zero) and there seems to be no cure. Is there any alternative program that will speed up startup that's as good/better?

Thanks :)

You do not need program to speed up Start Up you need less.
Go to Start and look in the left hand column.
See that list of programs?
Right click 'em and click on remove from list.
Download a copy of CCleaner or Ashampoo and give the drive and registery a clean up.

The more CR*P in the machine the longer it takes Windoze to wade through it.

Did you set it to save the boot log?

This can show whats slowing it down eg if its a driver try reinstalling or updating. It was the Creative driver on mine and although it was giving no problems after the reinstall it quickened the boot time.
