Start -Program list

How can I make the list of programs be one long list rather than columns?

it flows over into second (and third) columns when there are too many programmes to fit in a single column. I don't think you can alter that.

It is possible as I have seen it with one long list on another computer. I just do not knoe how to change the setup.

yes it is possible.

click properties on start menu.
go to customize start menu>advanced tab> start menu items and check the box called Scroll Programs, press OK and it will now list all programs in one column.

There you go, something new learned evry day.

For Win xp pro, I right click on 'Start', select Properties from the menu, then click Customize and the Scroll programs option has to be ticked in the list of Advanced Start menu options.
Same result but different method.
