Start-up problem

  Griffy 16:17 31 May 2003

I am experiencing an intermittent problem when I start-up my PC. More often than not it fails to fully start-up i.e. I am confronted with a blank blue screen (no icons). If I switch off the machine from the mains, switch it back on and then start again this seems to guarantee a succesful start-up.

I am using Windows ME.

My problem was very similar to yours. It could be that you have so many progs starting up when you boot your pc that it freezes. Download a copy of JV16 powertools from click here
and see what progs you can stop loading at startup. Its a free program and great to use.
