Start Up

When booting up, my Win95 comp starts Internet Explorer and tries to connect to the internet.

I have tried to find out why it is doing this but cannot find anything.

Does anyone know how to stop it from doing this?

start by running a virus scan using up to date signature files....

Check tools options Connection in IE, and try settings

You may have a Trojan or Add Aware

Thanks...have updated & run virus checker. No virus found. Don't have Add Aware.

Tried tools, options but can't find anything which could account for it starting on boot-up.

Any other ideas?

Could it be listed in any start-up files?

You need adaware.

click here to download, it is free and removes spyware.

Yes, it could be listed in your start up files.

And finaly you may need to take away the "always dial my default connection" and make it Never dial my default connection, and then you can dial it up yourself.
