dont know what to do here its a close call...wondering if anyone knows the exact anwser i have a GA-7VAXP MB(which for reference DOES support XP3200+) and the onboard audio (Realtek AC97 Audio with WDM drivers capable of 6channel hardware audio in both analog and digital) seems a mighty close match prehaps better than my sonicfury soundcard just wondering if anyone kew for sure what was better my sonicfury or the Realtek WDM codec

onboard sound is surprisingly good nowdays.i use it through a six channel home cinema amp and cant fault it.

a friend has a top notch sound card.i borrowed it to try and there is no difference that i can tell.

everybodys ears are different though.use what you think sounds better.

AC97 may be better for recording etc. but im not sure thats what im asking does anyone know if its better for recording than my sonicfury?

buy good quality gold plated leads to improve the signal.

and use quality media will help.garbage in garbage out.
