SSD in a Dell E6420

I just bought - should be delivered tomorrow - a secondhand Dell E6420 laptop with a 128GB SSD as its only drive. The laptop comes with a fresh install of W7 Pro. Is there anything I need to look out for in terms of maximising both the performance and the reliability of the SDD drive? It's my first venture into SSDs...

Thanks MechKB2 (aka... :-) ) The laptop is for a holiday home, so will have only very occasional use, and it certainly won't be primary storage for my music/photo/video collection: the SSD will just be used for random files as and when. Personally, System Restore has got me out of a few holes, so I'm something of a fan - but your point about ditching it in favour of conserving disk space is a good one.
