I've just discovered SpywareBlaster and it sounds useful. Does anyone out there have it on their machines?
If so, any negative aspects?

There seems to be no problems but I dumped it in favour of MS Antispy click here

I've used it for ages and there are no negative aspects as far as I am concerned.
It just sits there quietly doing its job.

I have both. Is that OK?

SpywareBlaster is an install and forget (apart from occasional updates) utility that does exactly what it says on the tin....

with the occasional update;)

You can have click here and MS AntiSpyware (and other anti-spyware) installed together - they do not conflict.

Note "And unlike other programs, SpywareBlaster does not have to remain running in the background." You simply run it, enable all protection, then close it.

Perfect bit of software, and worth having on your computer.Would also suggest a2 click here AdAware click here SpyBot S&D click here All will work together, and what one misses the others may find.

Negative - only one, remembering to run the update regularly but if you keep an eye on this forum members will let you know when one comes out - like this morning!

Widely used by forum members, generally gets 5/5 on freeware revue pages. Sets killbits to block spyware so doesn't need to run in the background to do its job, as a result doesn't load system resources. It's highly effective with no negatives that I'm aware of.

That's exactly what I said...:-)
