Spyware Threats

Dear all

I have problem with message which has popped up from my virus alert on my task Bar. The message states a dangerous infection has been detected on my PC. It says the will download and install the most efficient anti malware and asks me to "click here" to protect my computer. I am offered (for a price) Software called Spyware Strike. has anyone out there had experience of this program or can recomend a good anti spyware program and what price are we talking about. I have Norton anti virus and norton firewall installed. The publisher of Spyware Strike is not reconised and it is recomended that I run it.

This is most probably spyware/adware itself - ignore it and run your current anti-spyware/antiadware progs - many of these things are meant to get you to panic,click on them and then install themselves on your PC - BEWARE!!!!

NB Exit internet explorer before u run your spyware check

Tell us how you get on removing it i hope it works out.

Do NOT do this, download one of the programs Old swanee mentioned, these will do your PC some good.
