Spyware is Stubborn!

  Marios 21:07 29 Jun 2004

i run Win XP with all patches and updates in place. I have Zone Alarm, AVG, Ad-Aware Spyware, Spy Bot and still i am told i have some viruses that cannot go away, will not be deleted: 'Startpage 6 and such and such could not be removed'. Also, in my favourites i see and though i delete them they appear next time i boot up, websites i never invited or visited, such as casinos, adult health, PC health etc. My NTL homepage also changes when i boot up to other weird ones and even when i change the default homepage it goes back! What can i do to put things right without wiping everything off? My restore points do not work properly either! Please help!

Turn off system restore and do all the checks. Reboot and turn system restore back on.
