spyware, spam or virus?

When I first log on to the internet I get a browser page pointed to click here this comes on top of the browser window that I opened.
The address isn't set in my favourites and I've repeatedly tried to delete it
but it just comes back.

Also while online Norton AV suddenly started scanning dozens of outbound messages that I didn't send - these all seem to be spam messages.

Running NAV, Spybot, spyware guard and ad-aware hasn't stopped it.

Also my internet connection seems active when I'm not using it.

Can anyone help please?

Windows XP pro, AMD 3200, 1gb ddr 3200.

click here and download the free version of adaware. Do a scan. Download Ccleaner click here and delete all it finds. Download Regseeker click here and use it. Turn off system restore. Do a scan with adaware. Turn system restore back on.

Spywareblaster seems to have done it, the pc is faster now and the mass mailing seems to have stopped.

Going to run the Ccleaner as well.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll leave this post open for a while.
