SpyWare Doctor/Windows Security Warning

  250diesel 18:21 24 Jul 2008

After Spyware Doctor automatically downloaded and installed an update today the Windows Security Warning came up in the notification area saying that "SpyWare Doctor with Antivirus reports it is turned off".
On checking SpyWare Doctor it appeared to be running quite happily, reporting that everything with-in the programme was On.
I rebooted but warning message was still there. I uninstalled SW D > downloaded from site > re-installed > updated But warning message still there.
I've turned SW D Off/On twice, rebooting each time - message still there.
Anybody any ideas?

Hi ba2dmi

Had AVG installed but had to remove it because it caused havoc with my broadband, slowing it right down - TT. Lots of other TT users have reported problems. Already have Ad-ware 2008 installed (don't like it as much as 2007)

Want to get this sorted out as I've just paid for license renewal.
PC Tools are definately not the fastest responders !!!!

This time I have to apologise to PC Tools. This morning they issued an update which has solved the problem - whatever it was.
