Spybot Search and Destroy Error check

  skidzy 19:47 27 Mar 2006

Has anyone else encountered this problem:

Error during check!: Virtual Bouncer [3] (Access violation at address 005A751C in module 'SpybotSD.exe'. Read of address 05EB7FFF) ()
After updating SSD tonight and ran the scan,i got this error message, this did not stop the scan or hinder the system's performance in any way.The Scan returned nothing..all clean.

The only thing i can think of,is that the screen saver kicked in during the scan (Microsoft xp screensaver)just a guess at the moment.Or is this a glitch in SSD update.

XP Home SP2

Thanks in advance

I had it happen today for the first time, but have no screensaver. I re-ran it and it came up clear.;-)

If nobody comes up with an answer you could try the Spybot forum at click here

Maybe it is the update cos its never happened before.

Ive done the same now as dadyassa, rescanned and no problem.
Maybe this is a little glitch with the update,it also seems that Virtual Bouncer is in the SSD database of definitions,Maybe a little conflict within the update.

I shall tick resolved for now as it has not reappeared with further scans.

Thankyou all for replying.

For information I`ve just run Spybot and it came up clean.

Thanks Bluto1

Just a matter of interest really, to see if it is a common problem.

Thankyou for your response.

I had the same problem the first time I ran it after the last update but it was ok when I ran it again, it didn't find any problems.

Spires......it does seem a common little problem then. Thanks for your reply.
