Spy Bot S&D on Feb Cover Disc

When run after installation this software declares itself as stolen from BPS, and has a window title of 'use at own risk'. Anyone else have a problem?

BPS = Bullet Proof Software.

There is a court battle between BPS and the makers of Spybot. Spybot claim that BPS has used the Spybot database to make their own Spyware scanner.

Not sure why Spybot would announce its stolen from BPS though... I've used this program for months and never seen that!!!

Might be best to visit the proper website and do the updates at the same time....:-)

S and D's interface states that you use it at your own risk.

Ta to all who replied. My reading of the first warning screen reversed, as at one time I had BPS installed, although this was uninstalled using ultra wincleaner, and the registry had also been cleaned. However a reinstallation of Spy Bot S&D showed that the messasge was that there was illegal BPS software installed, so there must still be some trace of it somewhere.
