Splitting wav files

Title isn't particuarly relevant but wasn't sure how to describe this.

My friend is a budding DJ and can record his mixes onto tape. he now wants me to put them onto cd for him. I can hook up my system to record from the tape to my PC. My only problem is when burning to a cd it will be recorded as one long track, is there a program that can put some kind of marker at the end of each song so that when played in a cd player I can skip songs.

I know there is a manual way of doing this by taking the whole wav file, splitting it into individual songs and then using my cd burner software putting a gap of 0 seconds between each song but me being lazy would like a quicker way of doing it.
thanks
Simon

Try here click here I have both LP Recorder and LP Ripper. LP Ripper will split one long track into separates.

Thanks AubreyS and pj123, they both seem to do the trick.
