split picture to print 4 x a4 to make poster

  rsturbo 06:26 28 Apr 2010

i want to be able to create an A0 size poster then use my a4 printer to print 4 x A4 prints. the end result i want is 4 x A4 prints each is a quarter of the original A0 picture. i can then mount them together to create the original print. is there software that specifically has this facility?

thanks for any help given.

firstly, an A0 poster would require 16 pages, not 4.

many printers (or printer drivers) have this facility built in. Which one do you use?

The software you require is Qimage - click here

and its software- it may well have the facility to do this.
or as suggested Q image.
Failing that you could do it manually in an image editor- but accurate cropping may be an issue depending on the subject matter.

Easy Poster Printer click here will enable you to print poster up to 20m x 20m on a regular printer.
